Trimming eyebrows is certainly not high on any man’s list of priorities. With so many other things to think about like cars and sports, who would even consider it? But the truth is men should make an effort to pay attention to their brows once in a while. You might have some unsightly crooked hairs (or even one of those horrible uni-brows!) that you haven’t noticed but other people definitely do.
How not to groom your eyebrows
Some people (including many reputable barbers) use a method where they put a comb over their eyebrows and then cut off all the rogue strands of hair sticking out. This is completely wrong and anyone who is doing it this way will be left with irregular eyebrows. Sometimes, if you’re really unlucky, you might even be left with a few unsightly holes in your brows as well.
Men should never, ever wax their eyebrows. Men’s eyebrows are normally thicker and more natural looking than those of women. When men wax their eyebrows, the result looks very unnatural. As a man, you don’t want to have eyebrows that look like they were drawn on (very carefully) with a permanent marker. So try to stay away from the wax if you don’t want to look like an Egyptian Pharaoh.
The right way to groom your eyebrows
Before trimming those weird, stray hairs, take a comb and comb your eyebrows upwards. Use scissors to cut away any hairs that are too long. For best results use a mascara applicator to comb your brows upwards. Just remember to use a clean applicator, otherwise, you will not get the desired results and you might end up on the receiving end of some funny looks on the street.
No pain no gain. Get those tweezers and start plucking. This is, unfortunately, the best method for getting rid of stray hairs that roam outside of the area of your face where eyebrows are supposed to be.
