Michigan Democrats - Don’t Throw Your Vote Away - Vote for Ron Paul

Due to violating party rules, the Democratic National Committee has stripped Michigan of all its delegates to the Democratic National Convention. You can vote in the Democrat’s primary, but no Michigan delegates will be sent to the DNC to vote for you.

As if that isn’t bad enough, most candidates running for the Democrat’s nomination didn’t even register to be on the ballot or have withdrawn their names. Here is a list of people who will be on the ballot: Hillary Clinton, Mike Gravel, and Dennis Kucinich. So if you wanted to vote for Barack Obama, John Edwards, or any other candidate you’re SOL because they won’t even be on the ballot.

Instead of casting a meaningless vote on the Democrat’s ticket, you can vote in the Republican primary, helping bring a “win-win” ballot for the 2008 Presidential election by voting for Ron Paul. The war in Iraq has consistently rated the highest issue important to voters. Another issue not polled which I’m sure matters to voters is the restoration of our civil liberties.

Ron Paul is the only Republican candidate who is against the Iraq war and for the restoration of our civil liberties. All of the Democrats oppose the war in Iraq, so by voting for Ron Paul in the Republican primary you can help create a “win-win” 2008 Presidential ballot. It will be an anti-war, pro civil liberties Democrat versus an anti-war, pro civil liberties Republican. No matter who wins the election, the war will end and our civil liberties will be restored.

The problem is that many Republicans already seem him as a “democrat”, wouldn’t this make him even more invalid in the primary since he is trying to get Republican votes?

The same opposition would question his electability.

This time around, any Republican candidate in the general election will absolutely need the independent and undeclared vote to have a prayer. Any Republican that actually wants the party to win needs to see that Paul leads the pack here. The more undeclared and former Democrat voters discover him, the better.

Dennis Kucinich offered him VP spot. There is some scandal with him now, but I am hoping it will be cleared up. He’s very passionately anti war, and if that were my number one issue, he would get my vote. If I were a Democrat who had to vote for a Republican, he would be my pick.

I know Dennis Kucinich has batted around the POSSIBILITY of Paul as VP if he got the nomination. But unless I missed it, he has not named Rep. Paul his VP of choice, but worth considering, strongly.

I know it would rock the political world but Ron Paul might consider him as well if the roles were reversed. I dont think any other condidate of either party would be appropriate for Dr. Paul. (An ‘establishment’ VP would only invite another JFK-Daley plaza moment for the Good Dr.)
Kudos to Rep. Kucinich. He is a good man, and brings good stuff to the tabel.

As an aside, I think Sara Palin (Google her) would make an IDEAL VP for Ron Paul.

Anyway, given the unfortunate circumstances in Mich. I have to agree with the article. Since the Dems have cast away Mich. Mich should send a message to the Dem party and Vote Ron Paul!!!

Brilliant in conception and execution. A grand strategy for Michigan. I hope that Michiganders will take this message to heart and make it a priority.

I am a soon to be former democrat from Pennsylvania (I have a voter registration form in hand) and I found this bit of writing to be a compelling argument both intellectually and emotionally. It’s a winner.

Alan Keyes would make a good VP for Dr. Paul. Kucinich would be good as well. I was hoping to see a Kucinich vs. Paul ticket. Kucinich with Paul would be cool as a new way of doing things, Republican president is so bi partisan and willing to work across party lines his own VP is a democrat. Kucinich can help our nation maintain a high standard for the well-fare services that people have become dependent on and Dr. Paul can cut useless spending and limit government. Together they can balance a budget and get our people back home. Let us heal these wounds with the world.

    Hello there!

    Please read this:

FreeWest Blog - Around the country almost every precinct with electronic voting also offers a way to vote with a paper ballot. Insist on the paper voting option.

In the past few weeks, there has been a great deal of discussion regarding vote fraud - especially from the Ron Paul camp. I personally believe that there is a high probability that the voting machines are cheating voters out of a fair election.

In order to keep a closer eye on the situation, I signed up as a Poll Manager.
I learned that ANYONE can refuse to use the electronic voting machines, and that they will be allowed to vote using a paper ballot.

The idea occurred to me that it would be a good idea to use the “Ron Paul Network” to get this information out quickly.

I imagined a few interesting things that might happen.

Every voter who votes for Ron Paul should INSIST on a paper ballot.
Those votes would NOT be tallied by the close of the polls and would therefore come in many hours after the polls have closed.
This simple tactic would not only get a great deal of local publicity, it would also get national attention. As the word spreads, the public could nullify the “Diebold factor” without waiting until the next election cycle.
This would also assure that there was a clear paper trail that could tracked. It would be very unlikely that they would lose the evidence. In a recount situation it would be harder to falsify fraudulent voting as well.
This is a simple, cost free solution to the vote fraud concern.
By the next voting cycle, If the media reports on this, voters for all candidates might adopt this idea and derail the attempt for unscrupulous individuals to steal our elections by tampering with the Diebold machines.

So it’s simple, If you want your vote to count, avoid the electronic machines and ask for a paper ballot.

    Is this a realistic solution?

Who would the people voting at primaries ask for—which official do they need to contact to say that they want to use paper ballots? How early; One day or two days before, a week before?

Which official would be relied upon to make the arrangements.

    Organisationally feasible?

As things stand, if it works than it should be tried, otherwise with the Diebold machine, I can’t see Ron Paul winning. Which is a shame given the unofficial huge mandate he has already received, in addition to the huge funds. I personally don’t think he should officially state that all his supporters go for this, as it is tantamount to saying the electoral system is fraudulent—–which no mainstream candidate aspiring to be President, can say, and win. He has to ‘play the game’. But there is nothing wrong with unofficial efforts to get his organisation and campaign staff to go for this alternative strategy.

    Regards.

PS. I assume you have already watched ‘Hacking Democracy’ on Youtube, or HBO. You should as it gives a whole new perspective to things.

Democrats Pick McCain over Romney In Michigan Primaries…

As reported in a previous story, Michigan voters had all 156 of their delegates removed by the DNC. Taking a play right out of the Ron Paul Supporter’s playbook, Daily Kos activist Markos Moulitsas told his readers to “have some fun” in Michigan by …
